Cease is a call to action. A call to embrace urgently a process of peace and demand justice.
Hoisted at half-mast, the white flag brings us to a halt. It imposes a moment of reflection, in silence,
in mourning. Though tattered, the unexpectedly solid flag, is always waving: even at wind still,
it is suspended in perpetual motion in the sky in sign of unwavering optimism and hope.

 

The curator of ‘Cease’ is Giulia Foscari, an architect, activist and the founder and director of the interdisciplinary studio UNA / UNLESS. Operating across architecture, curatorial practices and geopolitics, Foscari catalyzes global action in defense of environmental and intergenerational justice.
